Learning with technology. Digitally creative.
Blog posts about educational technology, creativity, aesthetics, eco/green issues, multimedia and e-learning.
This is my personal blog, started in 2006 as a reflective practice on education, technology and creativity. It has moved around the web to various URLs over the years (including damoward.info and damoward.co.uk) but has settled for the time being at WordPress.com. I average one post a month but sometimes feel more inspired! I strongly believe that teachers, as well as pupils, can be empowered through new technology. Although I originally went to art college to study painting, I have taught ICT, Media Studies, Photography and (of course) Art & Design as well as other vocational-type subjects over the years and completed an MSc in Multimedia/E-learning in 2010. My e-book on video casting is available to download from here.
Teaching is a job where communication, technology and innovation collide and I like to share my enthusiasm and passion for tech with learners of all ages. I socially share ideas and practice and may include links to video on You Tube as well as my bookmarks collected at delicious (delicious.com). If you would like to share some of my immediate thoughts, follow me on twitter.com/@damoward.
